eCover Design, Is it THAT Important?

Posted by Brent Turner in Uncategorized

Hi guys,

Hope you’ve had a wicked weekend, I sure did. I had a throbbing hangover on Sunday though, but I guess that’s one of the joys of being young. You work hard and you play hard right?

Anyway, today I’ve written a little article for you about eCover design and the benefits of using eCovers in your salespages and squeeze pages.

This ISN’T going to be a long and drawn out article, I like to keep things focused and to the point.

Now to begin with, let’s have a look at the REASONS why you’d want to use an eCover on your salesletter.

It plays a mental trick on your prospects. Because you’re digital product is displayed as 3D and therefore ‘tangible’ then it increases the perceived value of your product. This is one of the most important things you can do when selling online – You increase the ‘value’ of your product and in turn you’re also increasing your ability to command higher prices.

A professional eCover design also helps you establish credibility. Again, having credibility is absolutely imperative in the sales process, whether you’re in online sales or offline sales, credibility is a persuading factor that determines whether or not you’ve turned your prospect into a customer or not.

eCover graphics are also helpful for breaking up chunks of copy in your salesletter. Reading several long paragraphs of text can be straining on the eye, especially on a computer screen. So by placing some eCover graphics into your copy you’re helping your visitors to pay closer attention AND increasing perceived value at the same time.

This last tip is probably something you haven’t thought of before. But a great looking eCover graphic also serves as a fantastic tool for your affiliates to help promote your product on their websites or blogs. Looking after your affiliates is probably the BEST way to maintain a steady stream of sales in your business. Don’t underestimate your affiliates.

So that brings us to the end of this article, have a lovely day or evening and if you have any questions then don’t hesitate to write back or start a thread in the forum which can be found at http://www.ecoverfrog.com/forum

Are you a ‘flipper’?

Posted by Brent Turner in Uncategorized

Sorry I haven’t been in touch with you much lately, I’ve been busier than a frog in mating season. But today I wanted to talk to you about a topic that’s becoming increasingly ‘hot’ lately, and that topic is…

Website Flipping

If you’re unfamiliar with website flipping then let me quickly get you up to date. Website flipping is the art of building or buying a website, doing it up, driving traffic to it and increasing its revenue to sell at a later date.

It’s very much similar to ‘property flipping’ where an investor buys a house, renovates it and then sells it again to make a profit.

Believe it or not, people are actually making a killing at the moment doing this and guess what?

It’s not that hard at all to do.

In fact, you could buy a website today, spruce it up over the next week, drive some traffic to it and by the end of next month you could have it on the market selling easily for $XX,XXX. People are doing this as we speak.

But what are the major factors that’ll help sell a website? Here’s a short list:

- Age of website and domain name
- Monthly revenue of the website
- Amount of traffic the website receives
- How many inbound links the website has
- The Google PageRank score of the website
- The stickiness of the website (repeat visitors)
- How viral the website is; and finally
- The professionalism of the design

If you’ve got a perfect mixture and balance of the above elements then you’d be well on your way to receiving a nice little sum for your ‘flipped’ website.

But still, the question remains. Do you buy an existing website or do you build one from the ground up?

Each option has its own benefits and advantages depending on the level of experience you have and the money you’re willing to spend. But, if you’re just starting out then I’d advise you to build one yourself and see how well you manage it and then go from there.

But for those interested in getting straight into it, then I’ve got some news for you. I’ve managed to design a website from scratch and will be auctioning it off to someone who really thinks they can ‘flip’.

If you’re interested checkout the auction here (it’s at the warrior forum, you’ll need to register):

I hope you gained a little ‘something’ from this post, I’ll be in touch again shortly.

The ‘New’ eCoverFrog!

Posted by Brent Turner in eCoverFrog Related

Hey guys,

As you’re probably aware, the eCoverFrog website has been given a major facelift. Some things you would’ve noticed are; the new frog, new colour scheme, new forum, and more importantly there’s now a wider range of services available from eCoverFrog such as the new Brand Identity Package, MySpace Profile design and finally Squeeze Page design.

The reason for the new design is due to the competitive saturation in the minisite design niche, I have also corrected some errors from the old site, for example, some people’s emails weren’t coming through when they tried to contact eCoverFrog through our contact web form - this has now been changed and tested so we will be receiving your inquiries from now on.

So far there’s been nothing but positive feedback on the new design, so it looks like it’s here to stay. What are your thoughts?
